"The vast potential and ongoing development in the Middle East makes this growing economy an attractive market for Manpower to expand our global network," said Jeffrey A. Joerres, Manpower Inc. Chairman and CEO. "A number of our multinational clients are already operating in the Middle East and have been asking us to formally establish a presence in the region as part of their growth strategy. Joining forces with Clarendon Parker to combine their local expertise with our 60 years of experience in employment services allows us to bring a more robust workforce solution to this region."

Manpower and CPME are well acquainted with a history of successful partnership, as Manpower appointed CPME as the company's Middle East partner over three years ago. With the acquisition of CPME, Manpower expands its global reach to 78 countries and territories by adding five countries to its worldwide network.

"Many companies throughout the Middle East require large expatriate workforces, as the local population does not have the skills required or the demographic numbers to fill job vacancies," said Varina Nissen, Manpower Middle East Managing Director. "Manpower will focus on developing programs with our clients and governments to help them find the talent they need and advance the careers of both expats and nationals across the region."

According to an ArabianBusiness.com survey (1), nearly 90 percent of businesses in the Gulf region find that securing the right candidate from the international labor market is either a struggle or entirely impossible. More than half of those surveyed said that attracting and retaining the talent required to remain competitive was a struggle and companies are forced to offer higher salaries than they can really afford.

Established in Dubai in 1994, CPME has expanded its reach over the years to become the largest employment services firm in the Middle East, earning a reputation as a trusted, professional recruitment partner. The organization's current range of services includes permanent and temporary recruitment, outsourcing and human resource consulting.

"The local expertise and knowledge of Clarendon Parker combined with the global experience and resources of Manpower make an extremely powerful combination. Our Manpower services will immediately include the range of professional services offered by our Right Management brand, the world's leading provider of integrated consulting solutions across the employment lifecycle. Our clients in the Middle East are keen to ensure that we can provide these services including leadership, organizational and talent development," said Nissen. "We are looking to set a new standard in the Middle East employment services industry and we intend to become the recruitment partner of choice for companies and jobseekers."
