New York's premier organization of women leaders recognized national Fortune 500 companies and New York area Fortune 1000 companies whose corporate boards are at least 20% female. More than 30% of ManpowerGroup's board of directors is comprised of women. Jeff Joerres, ManpowerGroup Chairman and CEO, and Cari Dominguez, ManpowerGroup board member, attended the breakfast, discussing the global competitive value of gender diversity and how America's most successful companies make it a reality in their boardrooms.
"ManpowerGroup's diverse board brings fresh perspectives to the complex and fast-changing challenges facing today's world of business, improving strategic decision-making and positioning our company for success," said Joerres. "Leveraging those skills and experience represents sound business when women represent the largest untapped pool of talent globally. Harnessing that talent is essential to tackling skills mismatches and thriving in the Human Age."
ManpowerGroup has also been named a 2020 Women on Boards Winning Company for its commitment to board diversity. Last month, Mara Swan, ManpowerGroup Executive Vice President, Global Strategy and Talent, led a discussion at the launch of the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2013 on how closing gender gaps will make businesses stronger.
